We give support to children and families
We provide services that protect,
care for and support the most vulnerable children and young people in the
borough. Most children and young people's needs are met through universal services, for
example by schools, youth services, as well as from support within the family. A relatively very small number of children and young people require specialist
support from children's safeguarding and social care. This will include
children and young people who are suffering, or likely to suffer, significant
harm and those whose development will be significantly impaired without the
provision of services.
We are focused on finding simple, low-cost local resources to solve a wide
variety of problems faced by the local community in Butoloogo and the nearby
villages. It is important to remember that, once you have left as a volunteer
the program to provide care at suubi child advocacy and community outreach will
be there for you.
All too often we see organizations that bring money and Western expertise to
a projects like ours, only for the project to fail once the expert has left
because the local people have acquired no skills to keep the project going.
As a volunteer in Uganda at Suubi child advocacy and community outreach, you
will be part of the team at Suubi advocacy, and it’s important for you to
nurture the children. You may well make some life-long friendships during your
stay. People who have volunteered with
us at Suubi Child advocacy enjoyed their
time so much that they have returned
